Digital Light Innovations (DLi) is regarded as the world leader in DLP® light exploration. We are a full service design and manufacturing company with extensive experience in creating unique DLP®-based solutions for a broad range of applications. We are not only experts in DLP® interface and electronic controller board design, but specialize in custom optics as well as prototype design and development.

Notably, DLi was the first to receive the DLP® Authorized Design House designation from Texas Instruments (TI). DLi has partnered with TI to design the electronic controller boards, firmware and software for the Explorer API and Control Software utilized by the best-selling DLP® Discovery™ 4100 platform. DLi also partners with TI to manufacture the DLP® LightCrafter™ 6500 & 9000 EVMs and Development Kits.

DLP® Light Engines from DLi are not only robust in capability, but are modular, easily expandable, customizable and packaged into a small form factor. With access to 4 million pixel resolution in a DLP® light engine capable of 3D printing down to the 365nm range, researchers and developers using DLi’s 3DLP9000 Light Engine can speed up their work like never before. The 3DLP9000 is a unique light engine designed specifically with the professional-grade DLP 3D printer in mind. DLi’s other light engine, the CEL5500 Compact Embeddable Light Engine, is a modular, production-ready projection platform designed to provide users with a multi-functional, ready-to-use DLP® solution. The flexible, scalable architecture of the CEL5500 allows for a variety of illumination configurations to meet research, development and volume production needs.

Community Service

As a member of the TyRex Family, we believe that our companies are residents, not renters, and that each of our companies have a responsibility to their respective communities. By fostering a caring relationship with the communities in which our employees reside through a variety of volunteer efforts and donation drives, our employees thrive. An upstanding community partner, Digital Light Innovations (DLi) and the TyRex Family are proud to take part in a wide range of community service initiatives in Central Texas with the following organizations:

RecognizeGood® is a local nonprofit that provides a means for individuals, businesses and other nonprofits to illuminate selfless volunteers, charitable acts and community service throughout the greater Austin area. There are several active RecognizeGood programs that work toward this mission from different angles, but the common theme is simple – the illumination of GOOD in our community.

Austin Gives™ is a community program to recognize and encourage business philanthropy in metropolitan Austin. DLi is incredibly proud to be a member of Austin Gives, and fully supports the idea that by supporting the community we all live in, we make our businesses stronger.

Since 1956 a version of The Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair has provided the inspiration, the guidance, and the support to build the robust STEM community we all enjoy in the Austin area.

This fair is one of Texas’ largest, with almost 3,000 students from 3rd through 12th grade. It encourages and rewards innovative student research and provides scientists, engineers and other professionals a chance to volunteer in the community.
